The seminar was on ‘Hollowing out and the future of the labour market’. Steve McIntosh of Sheffield University presented his recent review of the literature of labour market polarisation for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, while Craig commented on the paper and discussed his most recent SKOPE research on the way these changes have affected earnings distributions. The BIS paper will be published in Autumn.
