Prof Ken Mayhew and Dr Craig Holmes on the economics of Higher Education

This paper, published in the Oxford Review of Economic Policy argues that where governments have long considered HE to be silver bullet for economic growth, there now needs to be a a more realistic approach that is considered. The paper calls for further consideration into alternative ways of preparing for entry into the labour market, and that there needs to be more rigorous understanding generated of how the HE sector conducts itself.
