Leila brings nearly two decades of senior leadership experience to her doctoral research. As Associate Provost for Extended Learning at Imperial College London, she developed the university’s first lifelong learning strategy and launched the Institute of Extended Learning. She currently holds a leadership role at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and her career spans leading global institutions including Imperial College London, Singapore Management University, London Business School, and IE University.
She serves on several university boards and advisory committees and frequently contributes to international higher education forums. Leila advises universities across the UK and Europe on lifelong learning strategies, institutional transformation, and the integration of AI and digital learning technologies.
Leila holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Universidad Carlos III (Spain), an MSc in International Management, and an Executive MBA from IE Business School.
